At New Community Central we re-launched all our Connect Groups at the start of February 2012.
Here's a list of the Connect Groups that are currently available. If you'd like to join one of our groups please pick up some of our Connect Group postcards from Central Hall on a Sunday morning. These postcards give information on each of the groups enabling you to get in contact with the leaders and visit a group.
Our Vision
Connect Groups are all about relationship.
Our vision is that a Connect Group should be a small community, the size of an extended family, where we can each be known and loved, and where we can get to know and love others. A smaller place of belonging within the wider context of New Community Central.
Relationship is at the core of each Connect Group. Each group is led by a relational core of 2-6 people who relate well together in friendship and who are responsible for creating an environment in which community can thrive.
It’s in that community that we share life together – laughing together, crying together, celebrating each others successes, standing together in times of pain, inspiring each other, and cheering one another on to be all that God has called us to be.
It’s in that community that we can encounter God together – as we share life, inspire each other, worship together and pray for one another.
It’s a place full of life.
It’s a place to come in to – but also to go out from, inspired, refreshed, encouraged and carrying the presence of God into the rest of our lives and relationships.
It’s a community with vision and purpose – set by the group’s leaders, and clear to everyone who joins.
It’s a community that is open – anyone can join (as long as there is room) – and people can choose which Connect Group they would like to belong to.
And when it comes to care – everyone is responsible for loving and caring for one another. The leaders’ role is to create the environment in which community can flourish – and to help inspire the community to walk with God and share life together. However it is everyone’s responsibility, along with the leaders, to love and care for one another.
