Welcome to New Community Church!
Whether you're looking for a new church to settle in, or are trying out church for the first time ever, we'd love to meet you and help you feel at home with us. Our church community is full of people of all ages and backgrounds, and at different stages of their faith journey, so we know you'll fit right in!
We've suggested some areas of church life below that you may be interetsed in, to help you get started in becoming part of our church community.
Alpha
If you’re new to church and faith, or just want to explore what it’s all about, then Alpha is for you! This free, no-pressure course explores life’s big questions and the basics of the Christian faith in a relaxed coffee-shop setting, with refreshments, a short talk, and discussion in small groups.
Sundays
Have we said hello and welcomed you to New Community in person yet? If not, do come and introduce yourself to any of our welcome team or meeting hosts at one of our Sunday services. We’d love to meet you! Our services are relaxed and family-friendly, with contemporary worship and a practical Bible-based talk, and everyone’s welcome!
Newcomers welcome
Our Newcomers welcome sessions are the perfect place to find out more about our church and how you can get involved. These informal, no-pressure sessions are held over coffee and cake at Central Hall on selected Sundays. Chat to our welcome team at church on a Sunday to find out when the next session is.
Hubs
“Hubs are a place to grow as followers of Jesus, to build community with one another and love those around us.”
Hubs are a midsized community of 10-30 people that live out the vision and values of New Community Church. We have a range of hubs - grow hubs, life hubs and transform hubs, each with different themes and in different locations.
teams
If you want to get to know other people at church, joining a team is a great place to start. Whether you're skilled at tech, are great at welcoming people, or willing to help with pack-down after a service, there'll be a role that will be just right for you.
Baptism
Baptism is an important step in your faith journey. If you haven't yet been baptised, our informal Baptism Explored sessions are a great place to find out more about what baptism is, and to explore whether this is the right next step for you. Chat to one of our welcome team at church on a Sunday to find out when the next session is.
GivE
We believe in being generous with all that God has given us. Giving financially is not just about obedience to God, but is also an act of worship that expresses our gratitude to God and our love for others. All giving is voluntary and helps support our church and the community activities we are involved in.
