Joining a team is a great place to start when you’re new to a church. It’ll help you get to know some other people straight away, and you’ll quickly feel like you belong. It’s also a great way to use your gifts and skills (or discover new ones!) and to serve God and your community.
Here are a few of the areas you could get involved with:
Admin
If you’re organised and have time during the week, helping in our church office may be just right for you.
children’s team
If you’re enthusiastic & enjoy interacting with children then helping in our Sunday groups is for you! (subject to safer recruitment process).
community café
Our Community Café provides food and friendship to those in need. You could volunteer as a kitchen helper, a cook, or a friendly face.
facilities
Help us run our Sunday and midweek events by volunteering as a building manager or steward - perfect if you are calm and friendly.
Hope Community school
You could help us in our commitment to support the school, by listening to children read, helping with an after-school club, or helping support parents.
First Impressions
Provide a warm welcome on a Sunday or midweek events by serving refreshments, catering, manning our welcome desk, welcoming people at the door, offering team and building managers team.
mission
We have a wide range of mission opportunities, from local street evangelism to oversees mission with School of Ministries or New Community Kibera. Both one-off and regular opportunities are available.
prayer
If you are passionate about prayer, you could volunteer with our ministry team, or get involved with one of our prayer pods (small prayer groups based around different themes).
student team
There are lots of ways you could volunteer to support students at our church; you could host a student group, mentor a student, or help with our student lunches.
youth team
We run groups and activities for young people on a Sunday and also during the week. You could volunteer to help with one of these groups (subject to our safer recruitment process).
